As the title states I'm wondering about this. I have a yellow watchman goby that has survived the horror of my QT tank hypo experience. He has never had any signs of ich on him, but I removed all fish from my DT, so he got to be part of the fun. I know mandarins cant get it because they have such a thick slime coat, since mandarins are in the same family, does that pertain to all gobies? Thanks!

No, just mandarines. Gobies most certainly can get ich. Mandarines are dragonets, not gobies.

I'm not telling you that gobies can't get ick, but I have been told that gobies are less susceptible to ick than the average fish. I don't think they're immune by any means, and I have no idea whether or not they can transmit it without being sick themselves, but that's what I've heard. Also, I had a bout with ick, and none of my gobies (diamond, firefish) got it, while all other fish did.
