Can I add Inverts Now???

Okay my 40g tank w/ 75lb. of lr and 90lb. or ls is in its 5th week. I use distilled water and oceanic salt. I use a Bak-Pak2 and a wavemaker (it makes bubbles). I have a couple turbo snail (6 purchased, unkown amount left, I see the same 2 a lot though, moving). I was wandering after I do my 50% water change today and add a carbon filter can I purchase some inverts off the net and by the time they get here can I add them to my tank?

I dont think doing a 50% water change is very good because taking out to much water at 1 time can stress out the fish. I would reccomend changing a fourth of you water at a time. And i think it would be ok to add inverts if you water para,ments are ok.

Oh ya plus I haven't done one single water change since I first filled my tank 5 weeks ago, someone said that once I start a tank I should wait 4-5 weeks then do a 50% water change. If I did that would it be safe for inverts?

My pH is a little low by like .2 so I'm going to a pet store tomorrow if the water change doesn't fix that to get something to raise my pH to around 8.4 and 8.3. My salt level is fine. I use fasTest kits and for the nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia the water stayed clear and didn't change from what I could see.
