Can I do without the sump?

I can't exactly explain why, but I hate my sump. Between accidental overflows, working in confined spaces under my tank, and other reasons, I want to get rid of my sump. I have a 75gallon FOWLR tank with a pretty heavy bio load. I'm currently running a coralife 125 skimmer out of the sump and there is a 25 watt uv sterilizer on my return line. there is live rock in my sump. In addition to this, I have a aquaclear 110 power filter on the back of the tank.
Here is my idea. I am aware that I should have a mechanical filter before my uv, so i was going to buy a caniser filter. With the addition of the canister filter, could I completely eliminate my sump? I would hang the skimmer on the back of the tank. Also, I could also hang another aquaclear 110 on the back of the tank?
Does anyone see a problem with this? Would the water be oxygenated enough? I have 3 power heads in the tank. I would appreciate opinions.

Sumps are good because you can separate fish if needed and hide all of your equipment and more.
You dont HAVE to have a sump but I prefer to have one. A lot of people dont have one and have canister filters and more.
In my experience, skimmers output a lot of micro bubbles into the tank which kind of "cloud the view" when attached to the side of your display tank.

What if I only ran my skimmer at night or when the tank wasn't in full "display mode"?
Also, is 350gph too strong of flow to have running through my 25watt UV? Would I be better off getting a canister filter that is not as strong. I was originally thinking Cascade 1500 bc I can get it for $100.
