I am not the greatest photographer, but hopefuly you can make this out. They are about the size of a quarter.

I was told that they were some sort of mushroom. Bleached meaning too much light or a description? Should I drop them to the bottom/give them shade? I have a couple others on a rock in my QT that is under a FW flourecent bulb and they are the same color.

It is a hairy mushroom. Bleached means its dead/dieing. The ones in your QT tank wont last long under the FW fluorescent lighting.

They've been there for 5 days or so. Other than the very tips, I never did notice any significant color to them. I "inherited them" and only saw them at night, closed up. So I really don't have a "before" picture to go by.

Keep them in the light and don't put them in the shade and they'll recover nicely
I agree, you can angle them like a backslash to the light, most mushrooms seem to do really well angled to the light source, but you dont want to keep moving them around to find the "perfect spot" thats about the most stressfull thing you can do to a coral.
