can I get stung

My recent post stated I was getting a 6in green carpet anemone. My question is can it sting my while Im placing it? should I wear rubber gloves to place this or any other anemones? Im planning on at least 1 more of a different kind. Thanks

They will sting you a little. Carpets are one of the only anemones that affects me. Rubber gloves is never a bad idea.

Always wear rubber gloves! In addition to the stinging, you can contaminate your water with the perfumes from hand soap, with hair goop, and with whatever else may be on your hands. You can get sleeve-length rubber gloves that you dedicate to your tank for $10-15. Great investment...keeps you from getting wet, too!
