I found out that SWF.com is now selling flownders. I do seem reaky cool and I understand it says moniter with shrimp. I have a cleaner shrimp that spends alot of time on the rocks. But I have some quastions.
1. Is a flounder ok for a 60 gallon reef tank? It does have 2 inches of sand.
2. Will this gie eat or mess with my cleaner shrimp
Also here is the tank mates i have. Sixline wrasse, cleaner shrimp, green chormis, Yellow headed jawfish, Blue Devil Damsel, Brittle star, 7 snails, lots of red and blue leg hurmit crabs, 1 zerba leg hermit crab, Horseshoe crab, Clownfish, Blue tang, some corals, and about 75lbs of live rock.
I want to know realy bad if I can get one. Does any one have one.

I had two in my old tank and they are PREDATORS, no if's and' or but's about it. I would consider them like grouper, if it fits in there mouth it's lunch. Mine would even stick to the glass in order to try to ambush small fish going by. Don't get me wrong they are cool as hell, the way they creap along the bottom, sneaking up on their prey. I fed mine live feeder shrimp and they loved them.

Agreed. All of your smaller fish and any shrimp would be in danger.

Flounder = death to anything that moves, smaller than the flounder. Not many people realize what a big mouth full of sharp, big teeth flounders have.
Reef safe in the fact that they won't eat your corals. But they will dessimate your clean up crew and every other unattached living organism in there.

do u have a powder blue tang? and a horseshoe crab? those wont be too good in your tank let alone a flounder. a horseshoe will knock ur LR rock over when big enough and a tang will stress out and ur tank might become a ich factory. i wouldnt get a flounder IMO, theyre nice and all but i wouldnt. not in that size tank. sorry but i hope i helped
