I have a FOWLR 150 soon to be a 210 gallon, I am tired of the maitenence of keeping all of the crap off of the floor of my tank. I have a Snowflake eel, green wolf eel, huma huma trigger, bluejaw trigger, stars and stripes puffer, porcupine puffer, and a v-tail grouper. Can I put some hermits in my tank, if so what types would you recommend?? :help: :help:

But aren't those considered aggressive fish? Won't they eat the hermits?

The triggers will definitely go after smaller hermits. You may want to look into a big one or a few large turbo snails, all depending on the size of your triggers

Try the larger hermits; those can get pretty big. Also you might try a brittle star (but not the green one.) A larger conch might be able to survive. And I suppose nassirius snails stange a larger chance of survival (or at least a longer chance of survival) since they bury themselves in the sand.

If your going to do it, your going to have to buy the big suckers right off the bat. Most of what you have are gonna suck em out of their shells for a snack. THe'll have a hell of a time with the big ones.

thanks for the insights guys, So if I get a group of say about five to ten larger hermits and mybe some turbo snails I should be ok? My triggers are about 2-3 inches, do you think I could order the hermits that are on saltwaterfish.com, my LFS dosen't really have a good variety and they are super small

They might go after the snails, I have a 9" golden puffer and a bursa trigger in my 210, only thing I can keep in my tank are large hermits
I do have a larger purple urchin that they dont mess with, I think cause it has those long spikes on it.
