Can I just use a full spectrum bulb in a lamp?

Haha, yeah, great title!

OK I need a temporary lighting solution. I'm lighting low light corals in a 20 high and was wondering of a cheap solution for the time being. It's ok if it is ugly.

I was wondering if a full spectrum light in a standard clip on lamp would work? Or what would you suggest for a temporary lighting setup for a couple low light corals?

Preferably it is something that could then be put on a refugium in the cabinet under a larger tank.

If it's just temporary, I don't see any reason why it won't work. I've used 23W (spiral) Daylight fluorescent bulbs in clip on reflector lamps temporarily for softies, and still use it on my fuge. It grows macro and coralline algae really good, so short term, it should work fine for low light corals.

What would be the best bulb for the situation? I'll have to order online, so might as well get the best spectrum.
