tried to search but I got too many results that didn't deal with what I wanted, and couldn't find what I wanted...I asked on Fish but didn't any responses after a few days, thought I'd try here.
Can I keep a pair of perc clowns and a lunar wrasse?
75gl established
100lbs lr
2 ph
crush coral
All levels have been ideal
Inverts:
Cleaner Clam
Anemone Crab
Arrow Crab
Emerald Crab
32 Hermit Crabs
Coral Banded Shrimp
Brittle Star
Chocolate Chip Star
4 Urchins
Serpent Star
I wasn't sure if the lunar wrasse needed ls or if cc was okay.
Thanks, if I were to add one other fish, what would get along with the clowns and the wrasse? What order would I add the fish?
Thanks

I once had a lunar wrasse and it was one of the most aggresive fish I have ever had. They are beautiful fish but I myself would not do it. It beat the heck out of my Panda puffer and I took him back to the LFS.

I would not keep a lunare wrasse...they are definitely a threat to any invertebrates and, IMO, smaller fish (at least from bullying or over activity). The one I worked with killed yellow tangs one after the other by eating their eyes out.

I witnessed a bird wrasse do the exact same thing. I was pretty horrified.

Got it,
not getting a Luanar Wrasse, maybe I can get one in a few years when I have a trigger (I plan on getting bigger tank once we have a house).
So what fish would go together?

I personally like the Dwarf Angels, Blennies and Tangs. the tangs can be a little territorial though. todd

I only have a 75gl, I can't put a tang in there. Or can I? MY lfs guy told me no to a yellow, but yes to a smaller kind, but someone here, said yes to a yellow. :notsure: I don't want anything that will need a bigger tank. I plan on getting another one in a few years, after we have a house, but for all I know I could have a kid by then and not a tank.
I'm looking at the angels swf.com has, how do I know which one are dwarf? And are they hard to feed?

Coral Beauty Angel swf.com says:
Care Level: Easy
Temperament: Peaceful
Reef Safe: Yes
Diet: Greens, Flake, Pellet
Is this true? I don't want a fish that won't eat.
I also found
Candy Stripe Cardinal
Pajama Cardinal
Bicolor Angelfish
Do you know anything about these?
I plan on it, but we also planned to be in a house this year...lol, depends on how far my husband goes with his Phd. And what kind of job I get.

I have a Bicolor or Oriole Angel and absolutely love him. Very colorful and shy (when someone walks by the tank)but will swim around alot when I sit infront of the tank. Non agressive to his tank mates. Good eater. I have been told that if you find any dwarf angel that eats well, then half the battle is won. Just what I've heard.

That sounds great, but you can only have 1 angel per tank. And I love my Flame Angel and Coral Beauty. The Bi-Color angel is really beautifull too. The Cardinals are cool too. They kinda hang around alot! Todd

I have a 36gal bowfront and want to change up what I have in there. No one really responded to my other post, so let me ask again.
I currently have a Clarkii Clown and Humu Picasso Trigger (2 turbo snails and 6 hermits). Trade the trigger....what can I get in there?
I am going to upgrade the lights, too, in order to accomodate a feather duster (whom will not need the lights) and a red hawaiian anemone (are these good??).
Can I add other fish then? My tank is so small, I don't know what I can put in there. Any suggestions? I NEED MORE COLOR!! :happyfish

that's okay, I had to ask a few times before I got responses. tankgirl1.
A goby or bleeny should go okay, a Purple Pseudochromis depending on how much live rock you have. a Royal Gramma...
since these will get along with perc, I'm only assuming they will get along with a Clarkii Clown.
I looked at the fish under Fish on the left, found some I though were colorful, peaceful and easy to care for, then I asked if they would be okay together.
As along as you don't add too many, I'm not sure what your bioload is....you want to figure the adult size of the fish.
P.s, glad to hear you're trading the trigger.
Thanks...

I have a yellow tang with my 2 percs and they get along fine. When i first put the tang in he was acting like a toughguy and chased the percs around a few times. After that no problems. They are one happy family. h* I would definitely go with a royal gramma. The purple pseudo is a nice fish but it could be aggressive. Go with the royal gramma. Same colors very peaceful. Thats my next addition. :joy:

It's only 75gl, can't get a tang, or else I would. That's two votes for the royal gramma over the purple...I'll have to see. It'll be awhile before I add anything.

I have a yellow tang in a 46 gallon. LOL I KNOW I KNOW...i know a couple people who have success with a yellow in a 46 and a 50 gallon. I just happened to see a small one so i grabbed him. Hes only about 1 1/2". By the time he gets any bigger ill be upgrading so im not worried about it. I know the tang police are gonna rip me a new one for this but i couldnt pass up $20 for a tang.

Often they survive just fine in a 46 or 50, they aren't necessarily just going to keel over and die. It is knowing that they can't stay in there for years and years that is the issue.
IMO, the only tang really suitable for a 75 g for a pretty good amount of time is the Kole tang.

I want a larger tank in the future, but there is no way of me planning on when. So I'm stocking my 75gl as if I won't be able to upgrade. I see no reason to stress a fish, I don't want to fool myself into thinking he'll be fine.
I had a tang in a 55gl, that's why we bought my 55gl. The lfs told me I couldn't put it in my 20gl, so we set up a 55gl, which we didn't buy from them. We only bought the fish from them. But then I found out they shouldn't be, and now, the same guy who sold me the tang for the 55gl, says I can't have one in the 75gl. rollseyes.
One day...
