Can I mix in my reef tank, blue reef chromis and green chromis to form one school? Not sure if I have to have all one type or can mix - like 2 of each...Thanks!

I have blue/green reef chromis. One fish, they are called both as they appear different colors according to the light shimmers.

I do not see why you could not.

I have two yellow chromis and one blue/green chromis in my 200 together. (there used to be 2 blue/green and one died) the yellow ones adopted the lone blue/green and they lived happily ever after. no fighting, no problems with them...except the yellow chromis must have some genes from the pig family and have eaten their way into being "mega-chromises"...

I had 6 b/g chromis and 3 blue and they mixed very well, after some time, some died and I was left with 1 blue. This past weekend, my lfs had a sale, so I bought 12 new b/g and they are school together. Looks pretty cool in my 215.

I was going to ask that very question.. Not to hijack, but I have a wishlist of the following:
My tank is a 55gal. 2-3" LS and ~75lbs of LR.
1 false perc. (Already have him, he was my guinea pig)
1 six line
1 blenny of unknown variety at this time
1 clown gobi
3 B/G or other kind of chromi
A: can I mix chromi types? (From the sound of this thread, shouldn't be an issue)
B: Also from the sound of this thread, folks have chromis schooling in much larger tanks than mine, concidence or is my tank too small?
C: Overall, is my list a bit much for my setup? I have what I think is pretty good filtration and a aqua C Remora which appears to be running fine. I also have a clean up crew that seems to be doing the trick. (about a dozen hermits, and 8 snails. I will add more critters as needed)
Again, I hate to hijack, but since part of my dilemma had already been addressed, I figured I would build on it.
