I have just purchased a 55g, and was not planning on setting it up until I move, I am selling my home. But it is killing me to look at it sitting empty!! I am not sure on a moving date, just planning on the next few months, can't move til i sell.
Can I start this tank up, place some LS and LR in it, no fish, and then tear it down and move without harming them? Will it have to be recycled, or can i just set it back up using the water from the existing tank?
Was just thinking it would look nicer with somethig in it, in the middle of my living room, and maybe I could get a jump start on the cycling process, so that I could start adding fish shortly after I have moved.... Any info would help!

go to Toys r us and buy some pillows in the shape of a fish with some plants from a craft store. plastic it will cost like ten dollars then you could give the pillows to the kids as gifts
