Can I use this sump?

I have a sump that has blue/green stains in the silicone sealant from medication (likely copper based). Is it possible that there is any copper left in the silicone that may leach into my water? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I thank it is probably from freshwater
some people like blue water it stains the silicone
But if you do not know if it has copper in it .DO NOT USE AT ALL.

Thanks for the reply Keith! I have a sump in place but there are no dividers. It is just a plain 20gal tank. The sump in question has dividers. I guess I'll just have to add some to my existing sump. Thanks again for your input!

fill the sump with water, let it sit for a week and then test it for copper.
