Can ich travel?

My sister's tank got a case of ich, it is all cleared up now, but she took out this fake plant before it was fully eradicated. It has been sitting in her closest for a couple of months, so i decided to put it to good use in my tank. I put it under hot water and let it dry out again. Is there any chance that this could give ich to my fish. I know I sound paranoid, but I just want to make sure. Thanks!

Nope. But, if you had directly transferred it from your sister's to yours, it would've been possible. Also, there is no such thing as "eradicating ick" no matter how effective the ick medication is. It's just a matter of keeping it under control. So be prepared to see it come back.
