Can Macro Algae Live in Hypo Level?

Anyone know about this?
Do macro algae need to be in normal saltwater level like the corals?

Don't know for sure, but likely not.

I actually did this experiment a while back. It didn't survive long. I have however had hermits that have lived through a few weeks of hypo.
