can my grouper get ick

i just movedmy tank into my new condo keep most of the water know i noticed some weird stuff if i put frozen food in the tank like krill it get a slime coat on it for some weird reason and in like a hour. also my v tail grouper wont eat and is all white almost he changes his colors alot you ever heard of this problem.. anyone have any ideas

You a probably going thru a mini cycle. Groupers usually change colors when stressed or sick. Keep an eye on him for they do get ick. Check your water parameters. Did you keep any of the filter media alive?

i have not checked i have a lunar wrasse and a sfe they doing fine my shark egg moves alot i hope he hatches soon. anybody know why the food i am putting in my tank get a slime coat on them

I would let the tank stabilize for a few more days, dont feed too much, then do a large water change.
Yes, a V tail can get ick. They are very strong fish and dont get sick easily. Groupers will change colors/lose their color when stressed. Give it a couple of days, then water change (25-30%)

It gets a slime coat because it's sitting in the water too long rotting probably. I would check your water parameters. They are probably very off....
