can new lights kill?

i have just updated my lights to a lunar strip and within hours my yellow tang has died. It was always very healthy looking but just keeled over out of the blue. All my water readings are great and havent changed a bit. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas if the lights ahd anything to do with it or if it was just a coincidence.

About all I can say there is to check your tank for stray voltage, perhaps the new lights are doing something electrically that you don't want them to do.
