Can Prism Skimmer be installed in the sump?

can it be installed on the right side of amiracle sump? will it hold? also it comes with built in pump right?
thinking about replacing skimmer. thanks

Yes and no... The sump would hold it but, your water level would have to be High for the skimmer to operate properly. When you increase the water level in the sump you run the risk of overflowing the sump. The Prizim was designed to hang on tank with the water level of the tank. The pump would have to work harder to get the water up higher thus not as much flow through the skimmer.

I ran a prizm in my sump i had to raise water lvl then to protect from flooding i had to put a check valve on sump pump so it wouldnt overflow when power shut off.It was a bad setup and i lost alot of gph with check valve but it worked till i got a beter skimmer
