Can pulsating Zenia harm livestock?

Yesterday I found my coral banded shrimp dead with pulsating zenia wrapped around it. My zenia has really spread and I was wondering if if can harm my livestock? Kind of like a venus flytrap perhaps?

absolutly not. pulsing xenia pulses to move water accross its "feather" to absorbs ammonia nitrogen and nitrite, and some nitrate, it absolutly cannot kill fish, (unless one was dumb enough to bite off a piece and choke on it)

I didn't think so but some of this saltwater stuff is weird. I thought I'd done enough research on the zenia. But it was wrapped around the dead shrimp.

I have to assume then that the zenia wrapped itself around a dead shrimp since those corals will take up residence where ever they can. Thanks for you help.
