it means you dont have enough flow in your tank, add a powerhead to increase flow and it should go away

it more likely he has excess nutrients, run some Phos media and cut back on the feeding. Also are you using RO water?

That is cyano bacteria, also sometimes referred to as red slime algae.
It could be caused by a number of things, such as excess nutrients in the water, poor water flow, and out of whack water levels (nitrates, phosphates, etc.).
Post everything you can about your tank, the way it is set-up, and the maintenance you do on your tank and we will be able to go from there.
