Can there ever be to much light

Is it possible to have to much light in my reef tank?

yes- but you need a LOT- sometimes you will see corlas bleach from overexposure- but when that happens there are usually otherfactors that come into play- like high waater temp

and....when all you can see is algae - that would be a pretty good indication.....

agreeing with kickster here. i think that wahetever combo you do your most likely gonna be fine. i try to shoot for 6-10 watts per gallon evn though its not a very good measurement, it at least give some people an idea as to lighting and its importance!
