Helps a lot but still not sure lol...Do most shrimp have the same personality? i'm talking about skunk shrimp/fire shrimp/cleaner shrimp/peppermint shrimp, those kinds not the pistols and the aggressive ones.
i had 2 together for a while...i think i put them at the same time, now i have 1 cleaner and 4 peppermints and a coral banded, everyone gets along fine
i would think that they would get along because they like to be together and its not like the one shrimp can eat the other if it gets stressed, cause it doesn't have any claws or anything to kill with.
Cleaner Shrimp should be kept in pairs if possible IMO. They will constantly breed and will provide the tank with a natural food source. They get along very well...
Would two cleaners be too much for a small tank though?
I have a 25 gallon and am purchasing some inverts. Would a pair of cleaners and a pair of peppermint do the trick?
Cleaners actually should NOT be kept singly. Same as peppermints...they are social shrimp. That is why your LFS probably keeps like 20 together in the same tank. I think 2 cleaners in your tank will be fine...not too many I mean.
I just thought that since they are very social they should be kept in pairs.
I didn't know if having two of them in a 15 gallon would be too many.
