Can we drop the filter?

It's really annoying... I mean, I can't say s crew without it blocking it out. There are countless threads where I see >>>>> instead of the word that was intended. It is really detracting and needs to change. The filter is way overboard... Let's just add a "hey mods" function like www.dslreports.com and call it a day. OK?

I agree that the filter is up a little too high ($cr3w being one I see all the time used in its original meaning), but I think to keep the boards at a PG level, you do need to filter out certain words.
That said, I think the members are faster than any filter at weeding out the spam. Go us!
