I have a 50 gallon reef tank, with about 70pounds of rock. My yellowwatchman goby has had like holes in the rock that he has made his home. Now he has his home in a hole i dug for him. so can I get another?

I've heard that gobies are territorial and will fight, but if they have enough room to establish a home range of their own I think they would be ok. I've also heard people say they might both pair up with one shrimp, but I don't have any personal experience with that, and I don't know if it applied directly to ywgs. Sorry I can't be of more assistance. I really love the little guys, though, so good luck!

Yea I was reading about them in my book actually and it said that putting two in a tank can be risky unless its a female and a male.
Go buy this book. It will solve all your problems-

i wouldn't get another watchmen i would get a hi-fin or yashea goby. that way there would be no territory disputes. i had a similar question and the responses i got were why not just get another pistol shrimp and goby.

You know what I was looking into getting a hi-fin or a orange prawn goby. But would that mean that I would have to get two pistol shrimp?
