can you feed an eel too much

Yeah, you could probably feed him too much. I feed my eel squid, krill, clams, and silversides to satiation 3 times a week. HTH, Bo

My Snowflake seems always hungry too...when I wake up in the morning I always feed my Volitans Lion half a silverside and my eel comes slithering out of my live rock looking for a meal... what I do is break up a silverside into 3 small pieces and feed him once in the morning at 6, once I get back from school at about 2, and one more time when u get back from work at about 10pm... because he is usually active at night. my eel is small, about 7inches and I feed him small pieces less than 1/4 inch. this usually keeps him satisfied.
 
i hav a sfe and he eats as much as he can he will turn away when he is full but he isn,t fat he is in great shape, but i guess we all hav different eels and they hav different feeding habits :D
