I bought it for $30 at lfs and just thought it was cool cause it had the two holes and it takes in water but don't know what this is

for the 5th time u dont need to repost it over and over again. its 2 40 on the east coast, there are not too many ppl on. u wont really get a fast reply.

Tunicate (sea squirt) probably Polycarpa aurata. Here is a picture from deep sea images of one.

I agree with Polycarpa aurata (tunicate).
Poor survival rate since they require lots of planktonic food.

I am nor harping on you I just want to give you a word of advice. If you see something at a LFS and you have no idea what it is, have them hold it for you until you find out what it is and what the requirements are. It will save you a lot of $ in more ways than one and also your whole system. LFS do not care what they are selling the majority of the time and they are known to lie about their live stock and compatibilities. For example, when I first started this hobby I saw a sea apple once and it was really cool. I researched it and found out it would have destroyed my tank. Taking pics of it at the LFS and posting it works well!
