Can You Make a 55 gallon Aquarium Like this?

I was wondering if you Could Make a 55 Gallon aquarium
by,
Using Silicone To Put the glass together and then use some type of Brace To Put on the Edge To Hold it Up Better.
Do you Think It would Work?

Yes of course. How do you think they make aquariums??? I have personally assembled a 50 gallon cube using starfire glass and silicone. If you know what your doing,and do it properly,Its fairly easy.

Sounds like a great DIY project! Try it and post pics and step by steps...
Maybe I'll try and build a tall tank for Sea horses and such...

I think I might try it, But First Read up on how to do it.

Look at how a 55g is assembled and copy it. There is a brace on the top and bottom. Silicone glues the edges together. To be honest...a 55g is pretty cheap. You will pay the same or more to try and make your own, unless you are going to change the shape.
