can you put the back magnet of the koralia PH in water...

or does it have to be outside the glass? I'm trying to get more flow in my fuge because my chaeto is dieing, I put 2x K 1's in there but where I need them I'd have to put the magnet in the water so the PH is attached to the baffle, would this be ok or no? thanks for the help...
