Can you recommend a heater?

I run a 150 gal tank with two 300W heaters:

As you can see, I set them below 71 degrees, yet they heat to about 79-80 degrees. Don't even ask about when I set them higher.
I want to run my tank at 76-78, which was fine in the summer without any heaters. With the winter setting in and the room temperature dropping, I am having trouble regulating. Believe it or not, my temp is running higher now than it did in the summer!
Can you recommend a good heater to maintain proper levels?

I use the visi-therm stealth heaters on all my tanks and they're great. they heat accurately and are unbreakable. they have some good features like auto shutoff when they're out of water. im running one 200w and one 250w in my 40G breeder, in my seahorse tank im using two 50w and in the QT im using one 50w. they're cheap and high quality, pretty unusual in this hobby.

I run 2 x 300W in my 150 Gal. Do you think that is enough? Most online shops sell 300W for 75 gal tank, but i don't see any larger available.

I almost burned down my house yesterday caus of my heater. I was cleaning out the stand of my tank yesterday looking for a piece to a filter when I smelled something burning. Somehow my heater got plugged it(I dont have it in the tank right now). Dont know how it got plugged it
Funny thing is that it melted the piece I was looking for

thats a best part about the stealths... they turn off automatically.

+1 for stealths. I have 2 300 watt (i think... maybe 200 watt) heaters. I love them, they look good, they perform good, and the price is great.

Yeah, I love the fact that Stealths aren't glass either.
The only dig I have against them is that there isn't an LED indicator of whether the heater is on or not.

stealths were always my old standby...but i recently added a hydor inline heater...just connected it to my line out from my sump and it works great and its out of sight. my triggers broke a few of my visi-therm glass heaters in the past. i like the look of no heaters in the tank and i liked the idea of the inline heater....plus it was marked wrong at the store and i got it for 1/4 of what it should have been

I need to get a new stealth then. The heater was a stealth

you have an AGA stealth... not the same. the one you want is made by marineland, its called the visi-therm stealth. they're all black abs plastic. true they do not have an LED to indicate that they are on, but they are so reliable its pretty much set it and forget it. whenever a cloud of doubt settles over me i just touch it and make sure its putting out heat, haven't been disappointed once and i got my first one about 2 years ago.
