Can you visibly see and hear the difference Between Blu-ray and Standard DVD?

Yes the sound is more crisp.I would say it kind of like casette to cd sound difference.I would say without souround sound though their really is no difference.

the picture is alot better to if your tv is a true 1080 . Also the blueray player makes your basic dvds look and sound better to have fun

Night and day if you have 1080P and a good surround sound. If your watching through an old set at 720I at best...no difference.
