Can you wire PC case fans to an outlet?

I want to buy a pair of top notch Case fans for a computer, and put them into my stand. Can this be done. And if so,how?

Instead of paying 50 bucks for the coralife ones they had some extra fans at work and a 12v power source. Just spliced them into the power source, put them on a timer with my halides and poof -- free cooling.
Then I just used sticky velcro so I can remove them to clean/etc and then just stick them back on.

Just don't do it "directly". Fans for a PC case are NOT 110v nor even AC in most likelihood.
Most fans I'm familiar with are some level around 5v and most likely DC.
Easier and probably much cheaper in the long run to go out and buy fans intended to run off a wall outlet
I may not know fish yet but I know computers

I wouldn't pay for top notch. You're exposing them to salt water, which has amazing oxiding properties to anything metal, including the wire inside the fan.
