I banged this guy with a turkey baster.

Will it heal?
Is there anything I can do?

Just let it be. It will fix it himself in time. I've had cases when my multihead CC has fallen off the rock and landed on another coral, a few heads looked like the skelleton was the only thing left and in a few weeks they were back to normal.

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better. I feel awful about it.

the only way that can turn into a problem is if algae starts to grow over the exposed skeleton. This usually only happens in tanks with hair algae issues.

Dang did u take a swing at it with? lol, but it should heal up fine in time. Just be careful to not knock it around anymore and let it in the same spot. And keep ur parameters good

How did it get like that from a turkey baster? I am really clumsy and accidently hit mine or have rocks fall on them all the time. Maybe they are just dying a slow painful death...haha

Well, I stuck the turkey baster into the tank to blow detritus off my Monti Cap. I was not paying close attention and as I moved it down, I stabed the candycane.
