Canister with a Overflow???

Anyone know if it is possible to use a Fluval 304 with an overflow? I have been using a wet fry in a micro reef, but the bubbles are driving me crazy...
I have tried every method possible to reduce the bubbles and I am entertaining the replacment of the Wet/Dry with a canister..
Any suggestions???

it matters how you have your setup.... I have an over flo and it goes down into the sump through the filters and stuff.... it is then drawn out of there buy 2 canister filters and back up into the tank.... I can add media or whatever into the canisters...
