Got the above camera and was wondering how to get better quality pics. Any help or suggestions? I don't know much about it. Step by step things to do would be Great! Thanks

I have a Power Shot too. I turn off filter/powerhead, leave the tank lighting on and turn off all other lights in the room, set the camera on a tripod and shoot. That's how I get the best results, but I haven't been working on it for long. There might be an easier way.

Yeah, no tripod for me. I'm looking for what I should set the settings on, I think thats my problem. I don't know much about cameras, and I don't know where the guide is. Thank you for your help!

tripod will do wonders, and they are cheap, so its a worthwhile purchase if you are looking for good pics. next, shut off all the lights in the house / room, leaving the tank lights on.
Get a large chip, so you can take photos at the largest setting.
Canon should have a Manual mode, where you can make slight adjustments.
switch the quality to super fine.
if its like mine, the AE should have an autoset feature, that will adjust the white balance. set that after you have adjusted your house lights.
change the shutter speed to the fastest possible setting.
if it has multiple drive mode, try the manual focus one, so when you take the picture, it takes three pics at once, each at a little different focus to help the chances of landing a great shot.

Sorry, I forgot to mention turning the flash off. Only lighting should be your tank lighting.

this site has a direct attachment limit of 500 x 500 pixels, but you could post what you want to photobucket and then URL link them here and you are not restricted.

Well, the camera doesn't have an action setting so it's sorta limited in what you can do. I use the portrait setting, but other than that, it's pretty much point and shoot. Good luck!
