Canon G3

Rye,
I have a couple digital cameras-- The most recent is a Kodak DX4900. I can not get the quality of close ups I would like. If I want to get awsome pics --really close up-- is the Canon G3 the BEST? Also -- what do you think of the Epson photo quality printers?? Lets pretend $$$ is not an issue ;- ) would you still recommend the Canon G3.

$$ are always an issue.
The Canon G3 is a great camera but, it is not the end-all, be-all of cameras.......just a really good one in its price range.
The Fuji Finepix s602 is a good one in the same price range.
The Nikon Coolpix 5700 is a good one in the upper price range.
The Nikon D100 is even better and has tons of lenses available.
There are lots of em out there that will do a great job for you.
