...here is a first look at the picture quality. This was one of the very first shots I took with it...just point and click!!! Over the next few days I'll try to post a few new pics...but I'm thinkin' my stupid old Canon S45 may be a thing of the past!

What mode are you using for your G5? Also, what color balace are u using?

So far all I've used is auto mode...auto WB...auto focus...but in time I'll manipulate settings for better effect. The controls and settings are very simuliar to the S45...so I'm hopefull I'll be able to manipulate pic quality in no time.

Most Canon DC's have smiliar controls and settings. Try to use the manual white balance and keep pressing set on different white paper until you get a color you like and everything will look good. Automode also picks ISO (i think) so when you go to C1/C2/P, you can set your ISO to 50-100 instead of the Auto ISO (150+ usually)
