I got a Tamron for mine off of Amazon for around $160. Let me know if you are interested in the link.

Keep in mind that the flower you see in the pic is about the size of a quarter from end to end. That's a mustard plant and this time of year our fields are loaded with them. Here's a pic of the field without the macro on...

Yes, it's a dual attachment lens. It's called a fisheye but buried in the fine print it says it doubles as a macro. Basically, the fisheye needs the macro in order to be a legitimate fisheye. Not sure now it all works.
If you want to spend upwards of $350 then go with a legitimate lens like the one mrdc recommended.
It will attach to the 18-55mm lens included with your rebel kit. I have the same lens.

I have a canon Rebel and I have 2 different types of macro lenses, so first, I must ask you what your subject is... Would it be as small as copepods, or hydroids, or do you want to show off your polyps on your corals??

Oh and the underside of my red planet...

This coral was a pic taken from an all together different camera...

but here's it's polyps...

I've tried a few different attachments, and some are OK, but I wanted a versatile lens that would put out awesome details, so I got this, and then another one for even smaller subjects. When I get the patience, I'll take and post some of those too, but if FJ wants to get coral pics, then the other lens is not compatible with his needs.
