Canopy with or without glass

I want to add a lighting canopy to a 125g - do I leave the glass top below it or remove the glass?

I would leave the glass. It will protect the bulbs and electric fittings from salt spray. Make sure you add cleaning the glass to your clean-up routine, though, as even a think layer of salt on the glass will block precious watts from reaching the tank.

I leave my glasstops off ,becaause of overheating issues.

I removed the glass on the front half of the tank to allow air to curculate but left the back half covered to protect my lights.

loose the glass it actually cuts down on light and if your adding canopy for lights it kinda hurts your purpose. The lights will be ok if you use quality products. Don't skimp on the lighting. You will have to top off more often but its worth it.
