Can't Decide what to do?

I posted last night about my tank leaking, My LFS has very kindly agreed to replace the tank(46 gallon bowfront). I'm having a really hard time deciding what to do though. I've always wanted a bigger tank but i'm concerned about how much more work they are. How to handle such big water changes and how much more they cost. On the other hand i'm also worried about replacing the tank that's started leaking not even two years old with the exact same one. What would you do? Can anyone ease my fears about taking care of a bigger tank?

If you stay with the same basic size you don’t need to upgrade allot…
for example: I started with a 55g which is 48 inches across, so was the 75g, which I later replaced with the 90g, so my lights were good for all of these. I kept the same power heads and just added one more.
I added a little more sand, and rock. Stands are not the same however, the tanks had a different base size. If I had gone to a 120g my lights (the most expensive thing) would not be enough, and the upgrade would begin to cost far more than I was willing to spend.
So I hope this gives you an idea of things to consider when you upgrade. A stand doesn’t cost all that much, and an extra power head, sand and a little more rock won’t break you…but if you have to upgrade MH lighting…now your spending some serious money.
