wher do u guyz buy pickling lime?? i cant find it!!!!! i looked in 3 of the big supermarkets (pathmart , shopright) around here and cant find it... i even looked in K-mart... i cant find it!!! need to dose calk but cant afford the expensive stuff...

Can't afford the expensive stuff?? It is under 10 bucks for kent marine (the best stuff) you probably spent more money driving from store to store on gas than the kalk powder cost.

maybe... it depens on which store.. and if i do buy some calk.. i kinda want to buy a lot... we have 2 tanks.. thats y i would like to go the cheaper rout..

how big are your tanks?? you use very little when mixing it usualy 1-2tsp per gallon of fresh water I have a 150 gallon reef and the 225grams of kent kalk mix (the best) jar last over 6 months and all of my topoff water is kalk.

225g $6.39
450g $8.69 treats 4,500 gallons according to them

I buy mine at the grocery store. It is usually placed with the canning supplies. But here in the sticks, everybody cans everthing.

..... i ave a 155 and 90 gal... i looked but cant find it.. and my lfs is'nt really 'cheap' soo.. thats y im trying to find an alternative..
