The bowfront glass probably is distorting your images a little bit.
Nonetheless, beautiful fish! I love the pic with the eel in it too (and I am not one for eels but I like yours!) That paddlefin wrasse is very cool too.
Not to sure where you got the info its the best camera out there.
Anyway it doesnt matter if you have a Canon MKIII and some serious L glass. If you dont know how to use the camera you are gonna get garbage. So basically your pics are not good because of user error. Best is to just keep playing with it till you figure it out and understand it more.
yea as Lion Craze said...curved glass is HORRID for trying to get a good pic thats nice and clear and not blurred and distorted

The camera she has is one of Sony's upper echelon cameras on the market. It has a 12X zoon and image stabilization on the zoom and most people love the camera (I was just in the market for buying a nice camera as a gift for Christmas).
Just keep playing with the camera and I am sure you will get some good shots. It took me a long while before I got any shots that I like of my tank too.
I think thats why the Nikon DSLR always had such crappy noise at higher ISO...they used Sony sensors. They finally started making their own and have cleaned up the noise some.
Anyway to the OP it doesnt matter if your camera is the best. If you are not able to use it properly it wont give you good results. Only way to fix that is just practice as much as u can to understand what everything does.
