I cant seem to keep micro- algea alive or grow it in my refuge. My fuge is around a 1/3 of a 55 gallon tank, it has a deep sand bed and LR. I have a hundredes of pods and they are doing great. I have a 9' PC light for the fuge. One of the problems is I cant get the temp below 91. should I set it to drain more water? I have it set to drain around 15% of what gets pumped up to the DT. My display tanks temp is 86 all my fish and inverits are doing great.
thanks

this might be a dumb question, but your not keeping you heater in the fuge are you? Why would it be that hot? If anything shouldn't it be cooler than the display? Is it hot where your living? 86 is way too hot for a display IMO...

Yes its very HOT. I took the heater out a few weeks ago, because I was worried about my DT. The funny thing is the sump/fuge is in the basement where it is cool. I have 2 MH on the DT I know my temp is a problem I have been doing searchs on the subject.
