Can't Keep a False Perc...

I have had it with False Perc Clowns! I have had two now, that died. I think the Instant Ocean picture is so neat, that I had to have one. Could it be that they fair better in groups of two or three? I had only one in the tank at a time, with two small Damsels, and they all got along well.
One Clown lasted a week, the other only days.
Nothing is wrong with the water! Brooklynella may have claimed one of them. Is there another Clown that is more hardy, and may fair better in my tank? I would like to hear your opinions... Thanks

Get tank-raised clowns. The wild caught ones have a very poor track record for survival. If you just want one, consider the Maroon clown - won't take any crap from your damsels and are practically bullet proof. Remember - Tank Raised. Ask if it isn't listed that way on the tank sign at the LFS.

Percs do fair better in at least pairs. They're pretty animated together. And as said above, get tank raised.

I don't know about that, Bud... I had a female Clarkii for quite some time after her husband died. She was the queen of the tank. I lost her when my tank crashed.
