are you saying that tank raised or wild cought are more active. I have a tank raised perc that never stops moving. He doesn't go into the rockwork but swims around all the time back and forth. Plus he is the only guy who survived the fight with ich when i got back from christmas vacation. I lost a mandarin, royal gramma and two tangs. The clown only showed signs of ich when i finally got him to the qt and then he was completely covered. He made it though so i'm assuming that being captive bread had something to do with it.

I've been reading a lot about tank raised versus reef caught fish lately (mainly clowns). And as far as that goes, reef caught can bring outside diseases to the tank, they don't travel well, and they arent as hardy. Go to your local bookstore and pick up some publications in the magazine section, Some of the info is very helpful. But as they all say decide what works best for you by experience and research.
