Should I use carbon in a reaf tank? If so where do you put it in your sump? Would it be ok in a screen sock where the water comes into the sump?

you want it in a place of high flow. Just make sure you rinse it before you place it in your tank. And make sure the sock you're putting it in is fine enough so the granules won't be able to pop out. I run carbon on my reef tank, but I don't run it constantly. I might run it a week or two out of the month.

I like to use it just to get out hidden impurities,, Go with the Chemipure in an output somewhere!

Not in a place where the flow is so strong that it causes it to tumble too violently. It'll rub each other and grind itself up into tiny paqrtcles.....Ummmm experience on this eeeeeek!

Rinse it to get rid of carbon dust, In a sump would ok as long as there is water flow going through the Chemi pure pouch.
