i have a soft/leather 125 + 25 sump. uh the lfs said that its a good idea to run carbon in my reef because i have lots of corals that have discreet bad chemicals or so. what are ur inputs of how much, when, etc of carbon in reefs. currently i have 1lb of carbon in tha sump. over kill? does it take out alot of nutrients? im lost on carbon.

my 24 gallon reef been set up for almost 3 years now and i have always used carbon. it helped greatly when i did water changes and accidentally stir up the sand bed. my tank clears up in just minutes. btw i use chemi-pure.
