Cardinals

Currently I have a 55 gal with:
2 clowns
1 algae blenny
1 diamond goby
1 baby niger trigger who lives in a rock- he's a weirdo
1 emerald crab
snails and hermits
I LOVE the cardinals but I know you can't mix dif species of clowns- is this the same with cardinals? I would love to add some banggai and PJ cardinals to the mix- can I do this?
Also- can anyone suggest any other fish for the future? In a year or so I am upgrading to a bigger tank and that is where my trigger is going.

I'm no authority on fish but I've seen cardinals and pj's in the same tank at the lfs

wrasses have nice personality

if your tank is big enough, pyjamas, orbics, and banggais will get along fine. Just remember that pyjamas & orbic will school, where as you cant have more than 2 banggais.

I have a 55 gal- it's a long rectangle- sorry not sure of the measurements.
I love the PJ's! I don't really like the look of the orbics They seem to plain and I wanted to add some spice into my tank

How many PJ's do you think I should start out with?

only 2 banggais? they can't deal whith the odd man out?

yes only two banggais...
because once a male reaches maturity it will kill off any competitors. So usually you end up w/ either 2 females (compatible) or male/female (compatible)
