Caribbean Argonite...?

Here's the question...!
I'm trying to increase my substrate thickness, thus it should help my bacteria count and in turn lower my Nitrates. I added about 7 Lbs. of High grade Caribbean Argonite to my 120 gls. reef tank. Currently I had 3-4" in front and 1-2" in the back. Trying to evenly distribute until 4-5" throughout...
This created a huge Dust storm in my 1 1/2 year old tank....
Although it has started to clear up after about 45 Minutes,
Will this hurt my fish/corals..?
Any comments...?
And, yes I used a tube to minimize the Storm...

you might want to try some of that araga-live. It works pretty good from what I hear. Dosen't even cloud water.. Thats what I hear anyway.

The aragonite will cloud the water for a while. Both of my tanks had "dust storms" with no loss of fish or coral... <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />

after the dust storm, blow off your rock and corals, you can use a poweerhead or an unused turkey baster, if it gets tooooooo bad, it may stress any fish, or if it lays on the corals it may do some damage
and the aragonite will cloud the tank, but it is teh best sand IMO, the carib live is live sand, adn it is the same stuff, with water and bacteria, when adding, it did not cloud ours hardly at all, but is more $$
i would not add anymore for a couple of weeks, you do not want too add more than 1/4 inch at a time adn wati about 2-3 weeks before procedeing
