carpet anemone stung my dads arm

He got stung about 10 days ago and it left a big mark on his forearm. The mark and pain went away in about 4 days but last night it came back and its driving him crazy. Is there anything that he can put on it that you guys recomend? Why would it have come back? He moved stuff around in the tank last night, could the salt water have agrevated it?

In a pinch for acute stings (like right after), vinegar will neutralize the toxins, wash off the skin and ease the pain. I always carry a bottle in my dive bag when scuba diving. Works for anemones and jellyfish.
The long term treatment listed in the above thread is sound advice as well.
