carpet anemone

i alomost bought a green carpet anemone but i have read some pritty bad things about them, does anyone have one? it read that they sting humans they kill inverts. need info

I'm no expert,but I thought the carpets were among the easier ones to keep. And I'm pretty sure they all will sting, if your not carful. STEVE

They don't realy sting humans that much unless it's on tender skin. I have handled a few and they just feel incredibly sticky. This is because they do have strong stinging ceels which may be a threat to some inverts and even some fish, but they are still regularly kept in reef tanks. They are also one of the easier anemones to keep.

most fish are smart enough to stay away from the thing..... and it will not hurt you!!!!
