Last night my wife wakes me from a sound sleep and says...."we just found one of your perculas on the carpet....can I just catch it and put it back....its alive"...........man.....what a way to be awaken from a sound sleep
seems my 15 year old daughter went to the front door and felt a splash on her foot.....she found the carpet surfer.......must be good karma going on in our house to find the lil surfer before he got wiped out......
by the way....hes back in the tank and seemingly doin fine.......

Wow!! what luck. Can't ask for more than that. Glad he's doin fine. Just out of curiosity, how did he get out? Do you leave the lid up at night?

That has happend to twice I wasen't fortunate enough to be there when it happened.

Playtime....there is a small opening on the back of the tank...I have a glass top but due to needing space for equip etc there is a lil bit of room for escapes....plus I top-offed shortly before goin to bed and he just couldn't resist taking advantage of the situation....sure am glad they found it........love watchin the 2 of 'em together........

I had the same thing happen to my Perculas a few months ago. After adding an Achilles Tang and a flounder to the tank, the clowns kept jumping out of the tank. What really happened was that the tang was murdering the flounder and scaring the perculas at the same time...driving them right out of the tank. Luckily I saved them both but its kinda scary at 11 oclock at night and all of a sudden u hear the splash and plop on the floor!
